animation pruction, grass snow and breeze

This was a simple thing to create and looks nice I reckon. The grass reminds me of Soul Edge. There is an issue with the movement of the grass as it lifts slightly out of the ground due the the pivot position. Plus I think creating a whole scene like this.. Would be quite a masochistic, but. Do think it would look nice.

Animation Progression

In relation to the animation research I've been doing. I'm quite inspired/fascinated by glitches. The realities and physics of an in game universe being effected as a symptom of data corrosion. Other chaps to pick up on this? Well David Oreilly for a start, incorporate glitches into his works. Then theres games designers. Suda51 (Killer7, Lollipop Chainsaw) as well as Hideo Kojima, like the 'Fishion Mailed' section on Metal Gear 2. I'll have to keep it simple being an amateur. The ground appears to be to be rippling. Again 'Slow Wave'. However I'm not sure how this would appear rendered + theres close to 3000 plains here so might take an age as well though creating this scene didn't take too long! The purple in the background is an image from R-Type.

Animation Production 1

For this project we're to produce an animation about 'the journey' or 'the quest'. Like apparently there's only 7 plots. I don't know where Blade Runner or Clockwork Orange fit in but.. My approach is going to be done using Cinema 4D software. It's bewildering at first as the interface so variable, but granted once you're shown, it sharp becomes second nature. Loading in assets is a doddle. Since I've had a scanner and the relevant software to work with from home I got off to a productive start though my progress was halted by first Photoshop stopping working followed by my scanner:/ Photoshop's sorted as I got a new one. Neither Knowhow or my mates are able to diagnose what's up with my scanner. Like it prints fine.. Only 3 months old as well. Never mind, I guess the trick is to not get too wound up about these things. Is frustration though. So.. The stage I'm at now is I need to finish off drawing my characters walk cycle which is to then be scanned into Photoshop, cropped and tidied ready for being imported to Cinema 4D. I also have to create the environment. Got two weeks so really need to get my skates on for this. Problems so far.. Well when I'm trying to rotate something clockwise
But instead it starts spinning like a coin like this. I'm also struggling to set the camera to record when it has been aligned to a spine? As far as changing the axis of an object is concerned. The only advise I can find is an online tutorial where it says you go to 'tools' and then 'object axis'. The version of Cinema 4D I'm using hasn't got an object axis. I can alternatively address this by cropping it appropriately in Photoshop.

continueing to familiarise myself with Photoshop And Cinema4D. So far I'm confident doing what I already know how to do. Loading in new materials is easy, creating assets and alpha channels in photoshop is too. Thing I'm still sussing is things like remembering to deselect something or select the layer etc. They do keep tripping me up but getting there like. Scanner and Printer have decided they're not working:( Even KnowHow can't fix it so ain't just me being thick. Gonna concentraite more on putting my sketch book together and write up some annotation so that I dont have to do it all at once at the end.
